Water Quality

According to a recent study by Veolia and the International Food Policy Research Institute IFPRI, ‘Water quality deterioration is projected to rapidly increase over the next several decades which, in turn, will increase risks to human health, economic development and ecosystems.’

According to ILO (International Labor Organization), work-related communicable diseases contributed to 17% of those deaths and, in that category, the main contributing and preventable factors comprised: poor-quality drinking water, poor sanitation, poor hygiene and related lack of knowledge.
