I come from a family of recyclers, composters, and early-adopters of energy efficient technologies. In elementary school, I stuffed cardboard boxes from a food drive into my backpack so I could recycle them at home. In high school, I built my first passive-solar home—made out of cardboard and aluminum foil. As an Environmental Studies major at Tufts University, I learned about Rocky Mountain Institute and the huge potential impact of energy-efficient construction and solar energy. Besides the obvious environmental and public health benefits of sustainability, I am inspired by the elegance, convenience, and economic benefits of sustainable solutions. I’m proud to inform and inspire others as a member of Eneref Institute.
