Eneref Institute Announces New Web Forum Encouraging Natural Interior Daylighting

Web Forum Presents Candid Discussion by Key Decision-Makers in a School Daylighting Project

Philadelphia – September 12, 2016 – Eneref Institute, a leading advocacy organization for sustainable development, announces their collaboration with Acuity Brands to host an online web forum promoting the use of natural interior daylight. The web forum discussion follows an Eneref Institute report that assessed the installation of Sunoptics prismatic skylights in an elementary school.

The web forum is open to all lighting professionals interested in learning about the obstacles, decisions and solutions involved in the Wilson Elementary School daylighting project.

The Wilson School Web Forum will be held on Tuesday, Oct 25, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM ET.

Web forum speakers will include project architect Tim Reidy of The Hayes Design Group – Architects, lighting controls engineer Geoff Ford, West Allegany School Director of Buildings and Grounds Ken Fibbi and VP Daylighting Product Solutions for Acuity Brands Pete Shannin. The web forum will be hosted by Eneref’s founding director, Seth Warren Rose.

“When the renovation was complete, it was unbelievable,” according to Buildings Director Ken Fibbi. “The students were astonished by the results.”

Following the presentation, Eneref will open the floor for audience questions to the speakers.

Sponsored by Acuity Brands, the Wilson School Web Forum is part of an ongoing Eneref Institute initiative to encourage occupant well-being through the use of natural interior daylight, lighting controls and color tuning LED modules.

As part of their Wilson School report, Eneref Institute also produced a two-minute video highlighting the project, including interviews with school staff about the results of the lighting installation.
